  • Cream cheese: Remember to soften cream cheese to room temperature.
  • Sour cream: Or Greek yogurt.
  • Dill pickles and dill pickle juice: Chopped dill pickles add flavor and texture while the pickle juice helps thin out the dip consistency.
  • Garlic powder: I find that powder distributed more evenly throughout the dip.
  • Dill: Fresh dill or dried dill can be used.

How to Make Dill Pickle Dip

In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese and sour cream. Add chopped dill pickles, garlic powder, fresh dill, and pickle juice. Stir until smooth and combined.

Serve immediately or chill for an hour to let the flavors blend together.

Tips and Variations

  • Add-ins: For flavor add-ins, try diced sweet onion or onion powder. Add heat with chopped jalapenos or chili powder. Or try some green onions or dry ranch mix.
  • Any pickle: Use your favorite type of pickles from Kosher dill pickles to hot pickles.
  • Serving suggestions: Serve with crackers, potato chips, veggies like carrots, celery and cucumbers or pita bread. During the summer, I serve it with fried zucchini chips!

Sliced veggies, crackers or potato chips for serving

  • Mix all ingredients: Combine the 4 ounces of cream cheese and 1/2 cup sour cream. Add 3/4 cup chopped dill pickles, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 1/2 Tablespoons fresh dill, and 1 Tablespoon pickle juice in a medium sized bowl until smooth.

  • Serve: You can either serve immediately or chill for an hour to let the flavors blend together.

Storage: Store in a covered container. Refrigerate up to 1 week.
